CGI-bin functionality

Thank you for the great work on this free software control panel.
I am struk how the authentication system hangs together outside of the standard unix authentication mechanisms.
A very important question is: What is the recommended way to implement cgi-bin as standard for users?
Will SUEXEC work for file UIDs which are not registered as part of the normal Unix mechanisms?
Are there plans to implement shell authentication mechanisms for remote user log-ins?

Please search the forum for the CGI-BIN question. There is a solution somewhere.
The second question cannot be answered right now. The next major release of SysCP is currently under development and it is not completely clear if we find an easy and secure solution für this problem, as we would have to change the database backend as pam_mysql is not able to provide posix accounts.

Hello duergner
That was a fast answer. Thanks.
I can only find articles in German which refer to implementing CGI-BIN, and my understanding of German isn't good enough for me to be sure I am making the right changes.

Perhaps you want just to try to post to the thread and asked for a translated version?
